3. Statue Equestre De Vercingetorix

This equestrian monument was erected to celebrate Gaul’s triumph against Caesar at Gergovie. The earliest ideas for the monument were drawn up in the 1860s, but it was not completed and erected until 1903, during a ceremony presided over by Council President Emile Combes. The incredible energy of the horse and rider demonstrates the sculptor’s outstanding ability, who also created the Statue of Liberty in New York.

Fontaine d’Urbain II is a fountain monument dedicated to the French Pope of the same name. 8. Clermont-Ferrand Cathedral

Clermont-Ferrand Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption of Clermont-Ferrand, is a Gothic cathedral, located on top of a hill. It is constructed entirely from black lava rocks with two spires about 96.1 meters tall, making it visible from a great distance. The church underwent many changes and was reconstructed in the past. The present crypt is the oldest part of the cathedral and dates back to the 10th century.

The Place de Jaude is bordered by the Rue Blatin and the Avenue Julien. The Square is near to major attractions of the city like the Jaude Shopping Mall, the Opera Theatre, and the Saint-Pierre-des-Minimes Cathedral.
