It will be Max Verstappen who will take to the track on the first day of Formula 1 testing
Formula 1 kicks off: pre-season testing of the premier class of engines kicks off in Bahrain in a few days. Red Bull will entrust the wheel of its brand-new single-seater to world champion Max Verstappen, who will have the honor of inaugurating the tests next Thursday.
Verstappen will have a full day’s work at the track, while Friday’s session will be split with teammate Sergio Perez, who will have a free field on Saturday with a full day at his disposal.
In a recent interview, Verstappen made it clear that he will not race until he is 40 like Hamilton: “Does it make sense to be away from family and friends to chase new successes? Maybe to further enrich one’s palmares? I mean, on a personal level I have already achieved everything I wanted in Formula 1.”
