Unless you experience kidney disease, this does not cause any serious health risks. The high pH could make your skin dry and itchy or result in an upset stomach. Although it is safe this does not mean it does anything for you. Its increased hydrogen gives greater hydration than regular water following a hard workout. Water which is more alkaline minimises acid in the bloodstream and improves metabolism, increases energy, slows ageing, enhances digestion and reduces bone loss.
